THIS BUG TRACKER IS FOR GERRIT CODE REVIEW !!!! ***** ***** ***** ***** DO NOT SUBMIT BUGS FOR CHROME, ANDROID, CYANOGENMOD, ***** ***** INTERNAL ISSUES WITH YOUR COMPANY'S GERRIT SETUP, ETC.***** ***** ***** ***** THOSE ISSUES BELONG IN DIFFERENT ISSUE TRACKERS ***** ***** ***** ***************************************************************** Affected Version: master, stable-2.11 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Create a group "team-oyster" 2.Run: ssh -p 29418 <gerrit_site> gerrit create-project --branch master --owner TEA <newProjectName> 3.Browse to: <gerrit_site>/#/admin/projects/<newProjectName>,access What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The project should not have been created, but the project has been created with the owner "team-oyster". Please provide any additional information below. While creating a new project and passing --owner <GROUP> option if the group doesn't exist Gerrit doesn't throw an error , instead Gerrit automatically matches the closest group name.
