***************************************************************** ***** ***** ***** !!!! THIS BUG TRACKER IS FOR GERRIT CODE REVIEW !!!! ***** ***** ***** ***** DO NOT SUBMIT BUGS FOR CHROME, ANDROID, CYANOGENMOD, ***** ***** INTERNAL ISSUES WITH YOUR COMPANY'S GERRIT SETUP, ETC.***** ***** ***** ***** THOSE ISSUES BELONG IN DIFFERENT ISSUE TRACKERS ***** ***** ***** ***************************************************************** Affected Version: 2.11.4 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. upload a change for review on master branch 2. in the inline editor, edit the commit message and add a blank line at the end after the Change-Id line, save the commit message and publish the new patch set. 3. merge the change 4. in the git client, fetch the merged commit 5. checkout another branch 6. git cherry-pick -x the merged commit What is the expected output? What do you see instead? When the commit is cherry-picked the "(cherry picked from commit <sha1>)" line is added to the commit message, but because of the blank line that was added, the Change-Id is no longer in the last paragraph. This leads to the error " missing Change-Id in commit message footer" when pushing the cherry-picked commit to Gerrit. Please provide any additional information below.
