************************************************************ ***** NOTE: THIS BUG TRACKER IS FOR GERRIT CODE REVIEW ***** ***** DO NOT SUBMIT BUGS FOR CHROME, ANDROID, INTERNAL ***** ***** ISSUES WITH YOUR COMPANY'S GERRIT SETUP, ETC. ***** ***** THOSE ISSUE BELONG IN DIFFERENT ISSUE TRACKERS! ***** ************************************************************ Affected Version: CM10.1+ What steps will reproduce the problem? Open VPN Settings. OpenVPN is not there. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? OpenVPN used to be an option, but is not present anymore. Please provide any additional information below. In the Gingerbread implementation of CyanogenMod, there were working OpenVPN settings available from the VPN settings. This link describes the issue as well, with the exact commit at the bottom of the page, where the branch was removed: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-389 Leaving OpenVPN to be covered by 3rd party applications poses a security concern, as other VPN options implemented in settings are protected from access by credential storage. http://www.cyanogenmod.org/features/openvpn With a feature page dedicated to OpenVPN, it's also misleading to those who were expecting the option in CM, only to see it is not present.
