| Issue 3008: | Eclipse setup documentation outdated and incomplete | |
| Back to list |
Affected Version: 2.10-rc0-881-gf4893d3 What is the expected output? What do you see instead? - The documentation says that the codeserver doesn't recognise the user agent and that one should therefore add some property. I didn't add the property and it works fine. - The documentation says that OpenID authentication doesn't work in hosted mode. It worked fine in my case (Super Dev Mode, but the documentation isn't talking about Old Dev Mode anywhere.) - The documentation says that you have to install a plugin in your browser in order to add support for hosted mode. As far as I understand it, the new Super Dev Mode, which the documentation talks about, uses source maps. Browsers that support source maps on their own don't need a plugin. Especially not the plugins linked on the documentation page, which are for Old Dev Mode. - The documentation doesn't say anything that you have to run `buck build codeserver` in order to get a codeserver. Eclipse told me that it was missing the codeserver and it took me quite some time to figure out how to get it. Please provide any additional information below. I would fix those documentation issues myself, but I'm opening this issue, because I wanted to see if there are comments on this and if I'm seeing something wrongly.
