Reported by Mark Keisler <mark@mitsein.net> on Thu Aug 27 14:46:08 PDT 2009 Source: JIRA GERRIT-270 Affected Version: 2.0.19.2 Environment: linux, jetty, apache, blah don't matter for this one create a separate access level for allowing people to use the create-project command. The whole point of this command, in my opinion, is to be able to delegate creation of projects to certain trusted users. I don't want to have to give them full admin rights on the whole site in order to be able to create projects.

I have implemented this in https://review.source.android.com/#change,14309 The implementation adds a configuration parameter to the gerrit.conf file, where you can configure which group id should be allowed to run the create-project command. Looking for reviews. Thanks, Hugo

Updated https://review.source.android.com/14309 based on Shawn's comments. Added support for multiple groups by name, and optional separate configuration of owner group(s) for new repos.
