************************************************************ ***** NOTE: THIS BUG TRACKER IS FOR GERRIT CODE REVIEW ***** ***** DO NOT SUBMIT BUGS FOR CHROME, ANDROID, INTERNAL ***** ***** ISSUES WITH YOUR COMPANY'S GERRIT SETUP, ETC. ***** ***** THOSE ISSUE BELONG IN DIFFERENT ISSUE TRACKERS! ***** ************************************************************ Affected Version: 2.8 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Create a commit 2. Cherry-pick it to the same or another branch What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Cherry picked from line appears in the commit message, it refers to an *unmerged* commit, which is not discoverable. It should only be added for merged commits. Please provide any additional information below. If the submit type is cherry pick, the cherry-picked commit will never appear in the repository, so it is meaningless. Even if the submit type is merge, this commit might be later replaced by a new patch set, so its hash is meaningless again in the cherry-picked one.
