Affected Version: 2.5-717-gb3a3515
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Do something that generates an email.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The email contains:
From: Matthew Dempsky <noreply-gerritcodereview-C9SQgEEQipHAztdAtGX8zg@google.com>
I wish instead it contained:
From: "Matthew Dempsky (Gerrit)" <noreply-gerritcodereview-C9SQgEEQipHAztdAtGX8zg@google.com>
(Quotes are necessary because parentheses are special characters in RFC822 syntax. See section 3.3.)
Please provide any additional information below.
Mail clients (e.g., GMail) are increasingly obnoxious for lay users and hide the actual email address, thus only showing the user's display name. Even though Gerrit explicitly sets "Reply-To", it would be reassuring if the display name for Gerrit generated messages was readily distinguishable.
