| Issue 164: | Start SSHD port with SO_REUSEADDR | |
| Back to list |
Reported by Shawn Pearce <sop@google.com> on Thu May 07 08:54:38 PDT 2009 Source: JIRA GERRIT-164 Affected Version: 2.0.11 Restarting Gerrit while users have open connections to the SSH port is nearly impossible, as you need to wait for the active connections to fully timeout in order to reuse the network address. Daemons that run persistently often use SO_REUSEADDR when binding their server socket in order to sidestep this issue. Gerrit should support that behavior when starting its SSH daemon port, permitting a faster restart cycle.
