Affected Version: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Run perl -we 'print "abc\314\270def\n"' What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The desired output is "abcÌždef". This is what xterm and Chrome (the Web browser) print, in UTF-8 mode. hterm's visual output is "abc/def", with the "/" taking an extra column of the terminal. Please provide any additional information below. This is the default configuration with Chrome on Linux, but could be font-related.
