Some organizations copy all code reviews to an email alias ("codereviews@mycompany.com"), to allow interested parties to keep a finger on the pulse of development. Relying on individual developers to manually add the alias to every review is prone to omit many reviews, it needs to be automatic.

We can achieve this function now by creating a system account, giving it the codereviews@mycompany.com email address, and setting up Watch Project for it. That is fairly obscure.

Feature request: add a settings UI to automatically CC email addresses on reviews within a Project. I suspect it would usually be set on All-Projects.

I suggest that this is still implemented using the same functionality as the "Watched Projects" with the addition of an email target.

This way you could subscribe/cc different aliases depending on the activity. For example to notify a certain alias if a given file or path is touched by a review.

If somebody is interested in getting e-mail notification for all changes, it is not needed to add the alias to every review or to watch every project, one can simply watch the 'All-Project'.

I'm not sure it is a good idea to be able to subscribe other email targets to watch projects. One small typo and a stranger is getting spammed with Gerrit emails.

Is there any reason you can't create an account for codereviews@mycompany.com and have that account watch All-Projects?

In theory a UI to create admin managed accounts would satisfy this request. The limitation though on just "logging in" as a new user comes from users on LDAP systems where making non standard account is restricted.

So there needs to be a way to do this without requiring a real account from the LDAP server.
