| Issue 381: | Disable "Submit" button if merge will fail | |
| 27 people starred this issue and may be notified of changes. | Back to list |
What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Push a commit to Gerrit 2. Someone else pushes a conflict to the same project 3. Attempt to submit the first commit 4. Merge fails, Gerrit sends out email indicating it has failed, etc. At this point you rebase your work and reupload, submit, Gerrit merges, everything is happy. It would be nice if Gerrit could let me know in advance that this failure is going to occur so that I can skip step 4 and get right to rebasing. I know there is a race condition but the overwhelming majority of the time Gerrit would be able to accurately let me know the merge is going to fail.
