| Issue 1303: | fails to get back to older patchset / the commit in an older changelset | |

Affected Version: 2.2.1 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. push a new patchset 2. push the old patchset again What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Getting back to the first patchset in the change Please provide any additional information below. Trying to rebase a follow up change and messing up -> had a different commit for the old change when pushing, got added as new patchset to the first changelset. Now getting back to the good patchset seems impossible. gerrit refuses pushes of the older, good commit to the changeset. Seems no way to make the good patchset gold and submit

There is a workaround you could use: 1. Checkout the good patchset 2. git commit --amend 3. Make a minor change to the message 4. Push This will change the SHA of the commit thus allowing it to pass back into the system. Not ideal but it does work. |
