I'd like a way to search for gerrit commits by a commit's _ancestor_ SHA-1 (either the full SHA-1 or prefix). This would be similar to the existing ‘commit’ search operator that locates gerrit commits that have the same SHA-1 commit ID or share the same SHA-1 prefix of their commit ID.

An ancestor operator could help answer the question: “for a commit in feature branch X, are there any pending gerrit commits that are attempting to merge this commit to branch Y”.
