1. Generally speaking, the old version look much more beautiful than the new one. The beauty makes the users happy. 2. In the old version, we can easy know which patch we currently look at, but in the new one, we should select the 'reversion' first , and even after we select, there is no sign showing which patch it is. 3. In the new version, the comment history is by default all collapsed, I think you should let the user set whether the comment is by default all collapsed or all expanded (it seems that int the setting we can set, but I have tried and it does not works. BUG?). Since, usually, the user would like to see the comments quickly. 4. ...

Then you will be glad to hear that there is currently efforts ongoing to implement a new Gerrit UI in Polymer: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/repo-discuss/AuvsRmXChz8/fzAFcUrhDgAJ > 2. You might have an old version of the new UI. The information which patch set you are currently looking at is available in the header of the 'Patch Sets' drop down menu: https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/Documentation/user-review-ui.html#patch-sets > 3. In the new version, the comment history is by default all collapsed, I > think you should let the user set whether the comment is by default all > collapsed or all expanded Actually it automatically expands new comments and leaves old comments collapsed: https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/Documentation/user-review-ui.html#history > (it seems that int the setting we can set, but I > have tried and it does not works. BUG?). Since, usually, the user would > like to see the comments quickly. This setting is in the Diff Preferences, isn't it? I think it only applies to inline comments but not to the summary comments in the history panel. > 4. ... Would be nice to know more about this, especially since a new UI is in preparation and we would like to understand what users dislike about the current UI so that the new UI can be better.
