I am thinking about if full calendar can achieve the following concepts:-

1) Suppose there is an event ranging from 1st May to 31st May. I wish to chop the event into 2 at the middle, so that the first new event ranges from 1st May to 14th May, and the second event ranges from 15th May to 31st May.

or

2) Suppose there is an event ranging from 1st May to 31st May. Firstly I shorted the event to become 1st May to 14th May. Then, by dragging, I created a new event ranges from 15th May to 31st May. Since I duplicate the event, the other data can be preserved.

Are they possible? Thanks.

this behavior is a little too specific to be in core fullcalendar, so you'd have to find a way to implement this yourself.
