| Issue 308: | Cannot resize an event to change its end date to a different week | |
| 16 people starred this issue and may be notified of changes. | Back to list |
It seems I cannot properly resize (change dates) an event that spans multiple days. For example, I can only move the end date within the same week - it won't let me change the end date to the following week. This is a feature request and a usability issue. Thanks

Gah - sorry I think I duped this request despite the ample methods to search before hand. Sorry for that - but consider it another polite request. :-)

I guess the issue is that the ui resize (which can go up and down also) won't go before the origin (leftwards)? So if dragging from a Fri to a Wed below, it won't. Do you have a way forward? It doesn't seem a change which belongs in the ui plug in since it is relatively unique functionality. So I guess you mean the fullcalendar code needs re-writing. Any pointers in case I ever get some time? Perhaps change the resize to a simpler draggable crosshair which can go anywhere (highlighting allowable cells (those being after the origin) when hovered over as it goes)? Then somehow draw the line behind it... Thanks, adam

i have seen this done on another website called monket calendar. dont know the code behind it but instead of using resize i think he is using drag and drop. this is how it looks to be done. At the end of the event it has a resize div, you drag the div to the new date, when you drop the div it determines the length the event needs to be and redraws it
