Hello everyone,

I think everybody must be knowing that ext4 has been marked as stable and
has been included into the mainline kernel from 2.6.28.

Still,
ext4 is under lot of design and code changes and recent nightly builds suggest that
code is still buddy.
Also, the stability from a performance point of view, it is not deterministic.
Hence we need not worry much in the same aspect

Hi everyone,

Its not easy to port OHSM to ext4, its has various code paths for block allocation,
its has far better optimizations like delayed block allocation, multi block allocation
preallocation and extent based allocation. So the complexity involved is large.
I have been working on this but it needs a lot more. ext4 has a complete new design.
