Infinite comic from Marvel is interesting.  But there are other

I have seen some interesting digital comic based on Adobe Flash.

I am not sure if we are ready to standardize such 
digital-first-paper-never comic.  The scope of AHL is 
much more modest.

I'm afraid DC2 comics aren't possible with the current AHL format because of 
this page transition issue. 

Flash isn't a long-term solution. The swl isn't an open format. It can't be 
read on mobiles, except when nested in an Adobe Air application. 

There is also HTML5 books, but it's better for online reading. 

I think considering needs of digital native creation is important for the 
future of ePub (and for comics creators ;)

What you call digital native creation is not in the charter of AHL.  

It is true that a lot of interesting techniques in digital comic are not 
possible in AHL.  Page transition is one of them.  I may be mistaken, but I do 
not think that  such techniques are ready for standardization.

The AHL WG has agreed to close this issue without action, since it is outside 
the scope of AHL.

As even though marked as WontFix, this feature was discussed and deemed for 
future consideration in the IDPF's comic workshop in Marc 26 2014 in Paris, I 
would like to leave here a reference to a similar feature being considered by 
Google's Chrome team:
