Issue 362: Turn off keyboard navigation on the fly

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
Allow the keyboard navigation to be turned off, while still maintaining the keyboard events. Currently, the "kayboard" option is only checked when the events are registered. This could be enhanced to add a check when the event is fired. Thus, users would have the ability to turn off the dynatree events, while still maintaining default before. (For example, if a backspace is pressed, the user event could turn off dynatree navigation, while still letting the default backspace behavior occur.) Currently, returning false turns off default action and dynatree action.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
Allow embedding form fields or other user-interactions within the dynatree. When user is interacting with these, the keyboard navigation can be turned off. When they are done, it would turn back on.

As of 2014 Dynatree is feature frozen.
Please have a look at Fancytree (sequel of DynaTree 1.x): chances are good that the problem was resolved / the requested featuer is already implemented.
Please open a new issue there otherwise:
