What new or enhanced feature are you proposing? Add forceSync to expand method as _expand method What goal would this enhancement help you achieve? I sequentially expand a node, activate a children and scrollIntoView the activated node. Because my nodes are expanded with an effect the scrollIntoView may not scroll correctly the node. The forceSync would answer my goal. Thanks, Nicolas

would a callback that is triggered after load/expand solve your problem?

It solve my problem if the callback is local, ie. an argument of the expand method. Otherwise if it is a global callback I will not be able to distinguish expand from user with an expand from API

As of 2014 Dynatree is feature frozen. Please have a look at Fancytree (sequel of DynaTree 1.x): chances are good that the problem was resolved / the requested featuer is already implemented. Please open a new issue there otherwise: https://github.com/mar10/fancytree
