What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
Add forceSync to expand method as _expand method


What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
I sequentially expand a node, activate a children and scrollIntoView the activated node. Because my nodes are expanded with an effect the scrollIntoView may not scroll correctly the node. The forceSync would answer my goal.

would a callback that is triggered after load/expand solve your problem?

It solve my problem if the callback is local, ie. an argument of the expand method. 

Otherwise if it is a global callback I will not be able to distinguish expand from user with an expand from API

As of 2014 Dynatree is feature frozen.
Please have a look at Fancytree (sequel of DynaTree 1.x): chances are good that the problem was resolved / the requested featuer is already implemented.
