| Issue 287: | Option to control which node states are persisted (active, expanded, selected) | |

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing? Possibility for initially loaded node properties (activate, focus and select) to override persisted properties. Alternatively possibility to select what settings to persist, for example instead of saying persist: true, you could say persist: ['expand'] to only persist expand-state. What goal would this enhancement help you achieve? I'm navigating to a page showing details about one of the tree-nodes. The tree is populated using ajax and currently the persisted properties takes precedence over the node properties coming from the ajax call. I want the selected node to be specified from the ajax call, while still persisting expanded state.

This issue is addressed with Dynatree 2.0 ('fancytree')

As of 2014 Dynatree is feature frozen. Please have a look at Fancytree (sequel of DynaTree 1.x): chances are good that the problem was resolved / the requested featuer is already implemented. Please open a new issue there otherwise: https://github.com/mar10/fancytree
