Current setup of Duplicati uses the default filenames that are long, and
includes the : character.
This does not work well, if the destination host runs MacOS or Windows.
There should be an option to use an alternate timeseperator char, and short
filesnames.
Figure out if this should be on each backend, or a common place.
Fixed in r134 .
There is now a new wizard page with settings related to the generated filenames. I
have also made the ' character the default for new backups instead of the :, which
should allow more setups to run right away. The only downside is that the backup
filenames are slightly harder to read.
