On Windows, the DACL could be stored, and then re-applied after a restore.
On linux the UID/GID and permissions could be stored.

This would make the tool more attractive for enterprise uses.

Perhaps this would be better named "Store file attributes metadata" as all the various OSs store various ACL and metadata in certain ways.

Good point, I hope the new title better reflects this.
