Personally, I'd prefer to have an upgraded GoogleMail application that handles all my
e-mail accounts. But either way, this improvement will make things much better.

Please make it easier for consumers to integrate / review e.g. personal mail,
personal (spam) mail accounts, and workplace exchange through one inbox. It does work
with the universal calendar at least on my htc desire. looking forward very much for

This has nothing to do with Maps. It's a request to enhance the in-built email program to show all emails in one
place (i.e. POP, IMAP, Exchange, GMail, etc. from one App).
I carefully worded this request to ensure it only refers to things achievable in the AOSP repo (such as improving
the in-built Email program) and does *not* require modifications to any Google Experience product (such as the
GMail client), and the only reason GE is mentioned is as a "better than nothing" option.
Please re-open this FR.

To be more clear, this is the bug tracker for the Android Open-Source
Project. Google's "branded" apps like Maps, YouTube, Gmail, and so on are
not open-source and are developed by different teams at Google, who do not
check this bug tracker. Anything about those apps submitted here simply
won't be seen by the right people.
As we tidy up the Android bug tracker, we're directing issues about the
Google apps to the Help Forums where the right people will see the
feedback.
(P.S. - Sorry about the reference to Maps in my previous comment, I meant

Hi Guys,
I've got a Unified inbox in my default Mail App. This includes Gmail, though you have to set it up manually, so the Gmail App is much easier. I'm running Android 2.3.5, but I'm sure this has been there for a while now (2.3.4 and 2.3.3 too).
I think this issue can be closed.

how do i get this cyanogenmod of my tablit it wont stop and it wont let me get on it i wont it gone
Description
from *all* locations in one place.
I suspect that many people, like me, are less concerned about the server
storing their mail than they are being able to get easy access to it.
Currently if you have Gmail, IMAP, and Exchange accounts this involves having
to use two separate apps and having to switch between them to get the most
out of the functionality available.
To do this in the AOSP repo would involve adding Gmail functionality to the
Email app, which would be ideal, but I expect most people would also settle
for an improved GMail/Email app on Google Experience devices which handles
all types of mailboxes.
