The examples in the Managing Network Usage training page should not try to determine whether a connection is metered by looking for specific networks types. Instead, they should call ConnectivityManager.isActiveNetworkMetered(), or if older device support is required, ConnectivityManagerCompat.isActiveNetworkMetered().
