ADT plugin for Eclipse allowed developers for changing logcat buffer's length. Buffer length set to 0 meant unlimited buffer. Would it be possible to add similar functionality to AS?

there's always logcat on the command line - you can send that to a file or whatever you like.

I want to increase the size of the logcat history/buffer. I'll wait for android studio update.

As a suggestion.... you can open the device monitor (either from command line or from Android Studio menu) and use that tool's own logcat. It's formatted the way the Eclipse one looked.
