Description
#1If a user want to use a VPN, the OS forces a user to change the lock screen to have a code or a pattern lock.
This is completely unnecessary behavior, that is more in line with a specific corporate policies rather than a device in personal use.
I have researched this issue , and there are literally thousands of Android users that are extremely frustrated by this enforced limitation.
No other mobile operating system enforces such behavior: Apple OS, Windows, Blackberry - it is entirely up to a user to decide how to lock the phone.
By demanding pattern or code lock android introduces a significant hurdle for a devices being used by many family members including kids, especially if they have special needs.
Please convey our frustration to the android team.
This is a very significant limitation, that greatly reduces Android usability.
