Hi,

the addition of a reboot/restart option to the Global Actions menu is one of the most requested features we have seen in the Sony Android concept study.

The idea is that for users that are aware of the developer options (developers/advanced users), the feature will give them the option to restart their phones from the UI e.g. during development, or just to 'refresh' the device.

A proposed solution (2 commits) have been uploaded here:

This is the main reason i unlocked the bootloader on my Nexus 6P, just to install a custom ROM with reboot option on the power menu, this is by far the most wanted feature on a smartphone. Common Google that ain't hard to do, by the way even on your device assist app, you suggest us to reboot our phone.

If you wish to have an o/s which is taken up by the manufacturers pretty much as stock with them updating devices already with customers faster. Simple requirements like a restart button need to be there.

On my 6P (MMB29M) , I'm able to restart by simply holding down the power button until the screen turns off. Then it restarts.
