paintball figure has dark background

Details: Figure 9-1 on page 93 has a dark blue background in the PDF version of the book, but if you look at the figure, which is

figs/paintball.pdf

it has a light-shaded background. So something is getting lost in translation.

I can work around by changing the background to white, but it would be nice to solve the underlying problem.

This turns out to be an artifact in the Chrome PDF viewer. In other PDF viewers it's fine.
