I have the exact same problem & the same system. Furthermore uninstalling 1.1 and installing 1.0 produces the same issue. In the little preview window in the task menue I can even see the code I saved in there but it just will not open...

I have the same problem... I would be happy if I just could get all my snippets back, but it looks like the data is saved in some files named "PrivateEncryptedData". So getting back the snippets doesn't look like it's going to be easy...

I got it after googling about the error:

Go to the mentioned ELS-folder and just rename the com.snippely*-folder. After that, Snippely shows up again with all of your snippets.
