The easiest format to work with would definitely be .txt if that's available, since it won't have any weird special formatting that I would have to account for. Barring that, though, I can work with the .doc(x) ones and just copy/paste the body into a .txt to strip all that formatting out before I try parsing it.

Well, the epub files are already in a super simple format to read. It's some very, very basic HTML: a few links,

and tags, mostly, with some simple tables for the penalties (on the IPG).

You may want to contact ryan (at) bluewizard (dot) net. He's the one who made the epubs (http://www.bluewizard.net/Bluewizards_Tower/Magic_Judge_Resources.html), so he may already have some processing done.
