Offline Price Caching

Posted on Oct 30, 2012 by Happy Horse

A user requested this. We probably should be caching the prices offline, if for no other reason than it would preserve custom prices assigned in the trader.

Agreed, I was going to work on this one next unless something else came up. Any suggestions for how long the price should be cached for. I was thinking with 4, 8, or 12 hours.

Even a 24 hour cache would be acceptable. Prices don't fluctuate too much on a daily basis, do they?

Not that I know of. Resetting at 3:00am it is, just for those long night FMNs.

24 hours would be much preferred. This bug is especially annoying, because "Trade Cards" reloads every price whenever you SlidingMenu in and out of it. This can make trading glacially slow and annoying.

Added in R643, automatic 24 hour caching for prices across cardview, wishlist, and tradelist
