Create an icon list with link when viewing list items click on one of them the list item does not turn blue to signify you have clicked it

I can get it to work on safari by adding an :active statement to the li tag but it doesn't seem to transfer to the iphone safari browser

-Copy to iPhone directory, SSH. -Install file:// schema from cydia -Open Safari -Goto: file:///dir/to/index.html
