hybridfox - issue #99

Security Groups and Keypairs unavailable on different machine

Posted on Aug 26, 2011 by Massive Wombat

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. New install of hybridfox on a different machine 2. Click on keypairs or security groups 3. None are available

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I would expect that for each of your credentials that the security groups would be available. Is this stored locally? That means you need to set these up on every machine...you could get them wrong and they wouldnt match!?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? HF 1.7 on both. Firefox 3.6.18 on both. W7m on machine 1, XP on machine 2

Please provide any additional information below.

I couldnt find this in any forum, sorry if my searching was inadequate and this is a known issue.

Sorry! Bad tester.

I am using AWS. Security groups I can understand, what about keypairs? Obviously, without the private key on the new machine, it wont work. That makes sense. How do I tell HF where the private key is if it exists?

I downgraded to ELSTIC FOX to see if the issue was there too. It works fine.

Looks like there is an issue in HF with the CREDENTIALS when you have more than 1. It wont bring up the second one when chosen.
