Posted on Aug 18, 2011 by Swift GiraffeI compiled the latest source yesterday on 1.6 and it worked just fine by changing the max install version to 6.*. 7 on the other hand doesn't work, it never shows up in tools.

Posted on Aug 19, 2011 by Happy Lion@devops.android can you try putting the maximum version to * , and test it. It works fine with all versions, but the question is? is that the legal way of specifying the max versions.

Posted on Aug 19, 2011 by Massive RhinoIt lets you install it just fine, it just never shows up in tools. It's 'enabled' under addons with 1.7 with the max version , 8., 9., 6. whatever.

Posted on Aug 19, 2011 by Massive RhinoOdd, then why does 1.6 show up under 6 and not 1.7? It may be mac specific. I will try reinstalling 1.7 again on another 10.7 mac and see if the issue re-occurs. Is there plan for a new main line release with 6 configured to work out of the box?

Posted on Aug 22, 2011 by Helpful CatInstalled Hybridfox 1.7.000089 under Ubuntu 11.04 on Firefox 6. Got it installed using the Mozilla Addon Compatibility Reporter. It doesn't show up under "Tools" on 6 under Ubuntu either.
