Posted on May 2, 2011 by Grumpy Bird

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. updating to Ubuntu 11.04 2. Attempting to search for Google Gadgets or Ubuntu Software Center brings up no results. 3. Attempting to compile the source fails as well.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I would like to see Google Gadgets work in Ubuntu 11.04

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.11.2-3ubuntu1 and attempted to compiled google-gadgets-for-linux-0.11.2.tar.bz2 . I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 64Bit

Please provide any additional information below. Try the .deb file provides this information: "Wrong architecture 'i386'"

I successfully compiled google-gadgets with only qt support by the following steps: 1. Install xulrunner 2.0 2. Setting CPPFLAGS=/usr/include/xulrunner-2.0/ 3. ./configure --disable-gtkmoz-browser-element --disable-smjs-script-runtime 4. make && make install

Still gives some errors but seems to install and work after adding a file to /etc/ld.so.conf/ with /usr/local/lib/ in it and running ldconfig afterwards.

I also noticed that google calendar gadget crashes ggl-qt.

Unity is not as important to me as google gadgets. Seriously considering 10.10
