Install failed due to failure in preinstall script

Installation fails, saying:

"The following install step failed: run preinstall script for userscripts. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

I'm using Leopard 10.5.2.

just run this modified version of the preinstall script add the git path. The userscript package seems to be there only for that

The install script was written in ruby, and some systems were having problems running it. I've since rewritten the script in bash, and that should help things along.

Please try the latest version and see if it fixes it for you. Thanks for the report!
