What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. download and install http://gdevilspie.googlecode.com/files/gdevilspie_0.31_i386.deb 2. try to remove it
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? pycentral says: "package has no field Python-Version"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.31_i386.deb on Ubuntu 7.10 Guty Gibbon
Workaround: edit /var/lib/dpkg/status and add a line "Python-Version: current" to the discription of gdevilspie, now you can safely remove or reinstall the package.
Solution: Build new package with Python-Version in debian/control
