The exclude rules are quite limited. Most backup products let you at least specify folders which should not be backed up inside of a backup target.

I agree, why remove this function?

I am looking at different backup software options, and the lack of this option is encouraging me to discount flyback, much as it otherwise looks very interesting. Is there any intention of (re)including this facility?
