couchdb-python - issue #222

Pypi release

Posted on Apr 22, 2013 by Quick Kangaroo

Questions often come up in #couchdb on irc.freenode.net about this package. I continually tell people to use couchdbkit, as this project hasn't released anything to pypi in 2.5 years. If work is continuing on this package, and it's an active (ie, not dead) project, it needs to have a pypi release to be relevant.

Is there some issue blocking this getting an update?

The library is mostly quite mature; i.e., it just works. That said, I should get a release out sometime soon. Thanks for reminding me of that.

The last time I used this library, there were major issues with 0.8, which is the current released version. It was my understanding that the development work fixed many of these issues, but they have never been released. I feel it's a stretch to say that 0.8 is stable. It has serious issues, many of which are documented as tickets here.
