Overview

ColourTable is a plugin for the 3D rendersoftware Maxon Cinema4D. It provides simple color tables in Cinema 4D.

New in 0.0.3 (upcoming in a few days)

• Color harmonies (still very basic, more to come...)
• User colors (Groups "User C4D" and "User Doc"):
  • For new colors a name is suggested, if none is given
  • Per color delete buttons added (at least one text label needs to be activated for these to appear)
  • Colors can be renamed directly inline
  • Colors can be copied to and from Cinema's color chooser quick storage (via menu)
  • User colors can be exported into a .csv file
  • "Remove from document" is now called Reset->User Doc (like for other groups)
  • User C4D can be reset as well, now
  • Added security requester before resetting (and thus deleting) user colors
  • Some fixes/changes on adding/changing colors
• Group: Import added
  • File formats:
    • Simple csv or text files (.csv/.txt) (see format in Usage)
    • Adobe swatch exchange files (.ase) (used by Adobe Kuler, Idea for import by Robert Leger, thanks!)
    • Adobe Photoshop Color Table (.act)
    • GIMP palette files (.gpl)
    • Illustrator colors (.eps) (rather simple import, might not work with every illustrator file)
    • GIF images (.gif)
  • Colors can be copied to Cinema's color chooser quick storage (via menu)
  • Added a menu command to copy palette files into ColourTable's import directory
• Groups RAL and Pantone: Removed due to legal issues
• Groups VGA, CSS3 and VGA: Removed, functionality now in Import group, palette files included
• Groups resorted
• Fixed:
  • German localization glitch (thanks to user hellyeah from C4D Network forum for bringing this up (in context of ManualKerning actually))
  • Options menu not properly showing number of columns with text after Cinema4D start
  • A bunch of minor bugs, which weren't notable for users
• Help menu button (right edge of menubar)
  • Links to this project site (including direct links to Usage wiki and Issue Tracker)
  • Links to supported color services (Adobe Kuler, Color Blender and Color Schemer)

• Two user configurable color tables, one global and one per scene file

• Import function for more user defined palettes (create your own RAL or PMS palette for example) and 3rd party applications
