burg - issue #4

burg won't update os entries

Posted on May 19, 2010 by Massive Lion

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. add entries to grub's menu.lst 2. run sudo update-grub in terminal 3. run sudo update-burg in terminal

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? the operating systems of the sora theme do not change. it should have the modified operating systems listed

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? the most recent version from your site as of 5-18-10. ubuntu 9.04

Please provide any additional information below.

i have osx86, windows 7, windows xp, and ubuntu installed in that order on a 500gb partitioned hard drive. i have the ubuntu partition active. i have add the entries correctly into grub's menu.lst and saved it with no errors. i have done the update-grub and update-burg and no changes have been made. it has the default 4 entries for ubuntu when i have an entry set up in grubs menu.lst file please help me update the operating systems.

BURG is based on grub2 and doesn't use menu.lst. The configuration file is in /boot/burg/burg.cfg and is generated automatically using scripts in /etc/burg.d/ directory. To add new boot items, modify /etc/burg.d/40_custom.
