BTStack GPS 1.8-1 won't connect to Holux GPSlim 240

Posted on Oct 13, 2014 by Grumpy Wombat

BTStack GPS displays an error while trying to connect to Holux GPSlim 240 "make sure the bluetooth device is still discoverable". This appears after entering the PIN (0000) for the GPS.

Earlier versions used to work with this GPS. I have attached the log file from BTStack.

I am using iPad 2 with iOS 5.1.1

I would also like to try removing all settings and other files of the BTStack GPS package, if you could provide a list of those, it would be helpful. Simple uninstalling and reinstalling after a reboot apparently did not delete all files created by the application. The last bluetooth device used was still displayed and it did not revalidate the license after reinstalling.

Connecting the GPS to an Android phone or to a Linux computer works so the GPS itself should be OK.
