What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch WeBe++ 2. Pair with laptop 3. Connect to laptop 4. Begin using WeBe++ mouse/keyboard
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? After less than a minute of use, the connection is lost and controls no longer work (seems worse when using two-finger scroll gesture). WeBe++ app is still responsive and sound effects work, but control is lost. Upon WeBe++ returning to device selection screen (after pressing exit button) it shows "Waiting for BTstack...", but connection does not return.
Also, when entering settings app, and choosing BTstack, the settings app will crash - this is preventing me from capturing a log file to attach.
The only way for me to recover is to reboot the iPhone.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Windows 7 x64 iPhone 3g on fw 3.1.2 BTstack v0.5-1693 WeBe++ v1.1-6
Please attach a package log, as described here: - prevented by the settings app crash when trying to access BTstack settings
and provide any additional information below.
Windows Error: Bluetooth HID device (00:23:12:bf:b9:e2) either went out of range or became unresponsive.
WeBe++ Error: "Waiting for BTstack..."

Posted on Jan 4, 2013 by Swift OxCould you enable packet log before starting WeBe++?
Posted on Jan 4, 2013 by Massive DogI don't know how to do that. The only logging I know of would be launching settings app, then BTstack, then Enable Logging - but when I try to launch BTstack from settings app, it crashes.
If there's another way, please let me know and I will surely do it!

Posted on Jan 4, 2013 by Swift OxUps. I just double checked and got "There was an error loading the preference bundle for BTstack" in Preferences on my iPhone 3G, 3.1.2. For now, could you try with an older version of BTstack e.g. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5138628/BTstack-0.4-1652.deb
Well, I've also installed WeBe++ on the 3G and it stopped controlling my laptop after a few seconds, so, no real need for you to generate a packet log.
I'll have to look into this more deeply, sorry for the regression.

Posted on Jan 4, 2013 by Massive Dogthanks matthias!
After installing the version you posted 0.4-1652, BTstack no longer crashes the settings app, but no settings are available, just a blank gray screen.
WeBe++ still exhibits the same behavior, where it will connect, but drops after a few seconds.

Posted on Jan 8, 2013 by Swift Oxhi. first things first - I've found and fixed the problem with the Settings on iOS 3 (not loaded) and iOS 4 (crashing). The new version will be available via Cydia tomorrow (and is also here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5138628/BTstack-0.5-1715.deb)
No news yet on the stalled connection with iOS 3 yet - the connection doesn't actually stop, it's just that no events are send anymore. Please ping me again if I forget about it.

I have confirmed that the uploaded version of BTstack (0.5-1715) does not crash the settings app on iOS 3.1.2.

Posted on Apr 22, 2014 by Massive DogThe latest version of BTStack (0.8.3) still does not seem to work on iPhone 3G/4.2.1
If you are no longer supporting this configuration, please say so, and update your website and cydia package to reflect it....
