Hi, just noticed that springboard crashes and goes into SafeMode after installing btstack GPS on iOS 5. When do you think the iOS 5 compatible version will be released? Or won't you work on compatibility till the final iOS 5 is released?

Thanks for reporting. I didn't look into iOS 5 yet and won't release fixes until release (I'm really busy + iOS 5 support is legally tricky and might change before official release + limited number of users). BTstack itself + my software except Celeste should be ready for iOS 5 release. No idea about Celeste yet.

so, libstatusbar got fixed a few days ago and BTstack (the daemon/Bluetooth stack) is working fine.

AFAIK, BTstack Mouse, BTstack GPS, WeBe++ just work. Other packages not by me using BTstack should work too.

BTstack Mouse doesn't work yet but will work soon. Celeste is the only tragic case, installing the Gremlin2 part of Celeste destroys the file system and require a restore!

Hi, I bought BTStacks tu use it with an ipod touch 4G and it worked just fine till I upgraded to ios5. It doesn't seem to send the position to any GPS application. Is it related to ios 5 ?

@faiza: I don't think this is related to iOS 5. Does BTstack GPS get registered? if your problem persists, please send mail to iphone@ringwald.ch with your device udid, to check it your device got registered.

I too am having issues with BTStack GPS on IOS 5. I am using Garmins Nav app. It only works if I am going north, any other direction it moves but always points north.

I could be Garmins app issue on IOS 5 with jailbreak. I can't tell.

@ellis: hi. thanks for reporting back. BTstack (the Bluetooth stack) works well on iOS 5. I got a few similar error reports about using BTstack GPS with other navigation apps. Although I have no idea what's causing that, I'll have a look into that.

Are there any new Status reports on Celeste? Is this still in development? Could it be ported to ios 5 without gremlin? Thanks in advance

I'm too having the same 'direction' issue with BTStack GPS on iOS 5 (only works when driving north). Downgraded back to 4.3.3 till problem's solved.

very soon!... I've understood and fixed the problem with iOS5, but didn't test it yet. Also, I'll add a few minor improvements (promised long time ago...).

Thanks for still actively developing BTStack GPS. I too am having the 'north' problem, and I am glad it wasn't my GPS receiver.

@marcinmailo2: I hope to release the update during next week. @glennosmond: you're welcome. I still defer the real BTstack GPS rewrite, but not being able to use it on ios 5 was too serious.

btw. my Bluetooth GPS receiver didn't get a fix within 5 minutes, TryGPSOut doesn't send "Course" data, so I'm waiting for a new Bluetooth GPS - I've ordered the Holux M-1200e one.

hi. I got my new GPS receiver (the HOLUX M-1200e is nice, the logger requires a proprietary windows tool - I didn't browse the net for other/mac solutions yet) and finished the update. Here are the changes: http://www.ringwald.ch/cydia/gps/ - it should be live within the next 24 hours...

Tested a few times already and update works well with ios 5/iPod touch gen4. My gps receiver is a i trek m5. Still going strong after 6 or so years, bought it originally for my dell axim x5 . Thanks!

Hey um.. I was playing snes9x with a wiimote and it appears that btstack is the problem. Basically the wiimote works fine for about 2 minutes then the wiimote won't connect again so I'm screwed:( I'm currently running iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 3GS so any help would be great.
