btstack - issue #145

BTstack Mouse problem with Speedlink Mouse

Posted on Apr 28, 2011 by Grumpy Kangaroo

Grmbl - I loaded BTStack Mouse on my iPhone 3G with iOS 4.2.1 and tried it with an APlle Mighty Mouse. After research I read that it doesn't work with the Mighty Mouse (no mouse click).

So I bought a Speedlink Snappy BT Mouse (BT v2.1 + EDR)andthat thing is horrible. No precise movement. When I mouve the mouse, the cursor "dances" long after the movement and moves all around the screen on the iPhone. No mouse click function (e.g. on the virtual keyboard" at all. The same as with the Mighty Mouse. On my MacPro the Speedlink Mouse works perfect. What can that be?

Thanks a lot in advance and regards,

Josch

Hmmm - I went to the store and tested two other bluetooth mice - a Logitech M555B and a Speedlink Saphyr - The Speedlink Saphyr didn't connect and the Logitech M555B connected but I had exactly the same problems as with the Apple MAGIC Mouse (sorry the info above wasn't correct with the Mighty Mouse - I meant a MAGIC Mouse).

I am able to click the symbols like ipod, contacts and so on but IN the apps nothing works - no click, no marking - nothing.

Is it an 4.2.1 issue?

... just to let you know ...

hi. that should be fixed. also, check out BTC Mouse & Trackpad. It integrates with iOS Bluetooth, supports auto-connect and has even more features.
