btstack - issue #128

No mouse click, nor scroll, while in application.

Posted on Feb 17, 2011 by Happy Lion

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Pair bt mouse with BTStack mouse 2. Mouse cursor is present and can slide screen, open applications 3. While in application (such as Safari) the mouse will not register clicks in the address bar, search bar, nor scroll the screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expect output is to be able to interact with the application. Instead the application is static and registers no mouse click actions.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Latest BTMouse release. IOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 3G.

Please provide any additional information below.

Sorry, I should also mention that I've tried using 2 separate mice: MS Mousepointer 8000 and Apple Magic Mouse.

Thank You

I have similar problems but I also experience it in evrenote and pages. The problem comes and goes. What I experience is not being able position the pointer (either in a new place between words or after holding it over a word to position it within a word). It will work for a little while then stop working. Toggling the keyboard a few ties seems to get it back but it that may just be a time thing. I'm also running 4.2.1. Hope you can help as Ouse support was a rely important reason for JBing this iPad. Robin

Yes, I had some problem, I downloaded new BTStack Mouse in iPHONE 4.2.1 In top layer, I can use BT Mouse click any application, But in application, I can't click everything, The mouse right button I had set back to main screen, it's work ok, Only left click can't working in application.

In iPHONE 4.1 is ok for same BT mouse & BTStack Mouse.

BTstack Mouse works fine in the current version on my iPod touch 4 with 4.2.1.

There is a problem with clicking the lower area on iPads, for which I submitted the version svr.r201 yesterday.

Not sure what's your problem on iPhone. Well, please install the MouseSupport update and try again.

MouseSupport is the package that provides the mouse pointer simulation. Start Cydia, go to "Mange", press "Settings", select "Developer", press "Done". Then click "Packages" and look for "MouseSupport". Click "MouseSupport". What version do you have? If not "svn.r203" try to update to that.
