blacktree-quicksilver - issue #323

Command Window with Selection does not work

Posted on Feb 11, 2010 by Swift Bear

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Enable "Command Window with Selection" Quicksilver trigger in preferences 2. Use the trigger (Shift+Ctrl+Space) 3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The selected file/folder should appear in the left side of quicksilver bezel when trigger is activated. But instead the left side is blank and the right side shows the "Type to Search" icon.

What version of the product (including Quicksilver version, AND the module version related to the buggy functionality if appropriate) are you using? On what operating system?

Quicksilver B56a7 (3839) Mac OS X 10.6.2 Please provide any additional information below, and please attach the corresponding crash log under ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter if your problem ends this way.

I'm having a similar issue, but I don't even see "Command Window With Selection" in my Quicksilver trigger list. Instead I see "Select (null) in command window". Binding this to a shortcut and then activating that shortcut with a selection in finder gives the same results you are seeing.

Using Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and QS B56a7 (3825).

I have the same issue as the first comment with ß58 (3841) and 10.6.3.

Additionally, pressing Command-G when the command window is up should result in the same thing (the current Finder item being selected) but this fails out in the same way.

I have the same problem with the current (as of today) version of Quicksilver and OS 10.6.3. Furthermore, once invoked with the hot key, the command pane is frozen on screen and cannot be made to disappear without quitting QS.

I'm having the same issue as the original report regarding the "command window with selection" function not working properly. Also I'm seeing the same problem with the command pane being frozen on screen as reported by pierce salguero.

I'm using the B58 version and OS 10.5.8

Exact same problem here... The trigger doesn't work, it just brings up the window with nothing in the left pane and then it freezes.

Using version 1.0 b58 with OSX 10.6.3.

Same problem here. Quicksilver version ß58 and Mac OS X 10.6.4. I've managed to get the command window working finally (I completely wiped all traces of quicksilver from the system and did a clean reinstall), but now tab doesn't bring up the action menu.

You need to enable the quicksilver internal commands in the catalog for this trigger to work.
