The Google Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use Google services, including information provided when you use Google Web Toolkit. In addition, the following describes privacy practices specific to Google Web Toolkit.
When you use Google Web Toolkit's 'hosted mode' web browser, the application sends a request back to Google's servers to check to see if you are using the most recent version of the product. As a part of this request, Google will log the timestamp for when you installed the application and the version number. We won't log cookies or personal information about you, and we will only use any data we log in the aggregate to operate and improve Google Web Toolkit.
We use this information internally to determine usage volume of the hosted mode browser in the aggregate.
You may choose to not use the hosted mode browser at any time, using the <module>-compile script to compile your code directly to JavaScript. This does not send a request for the most recent version of Google Web Toolkit.
Google adheres to the US Safe Harbor privacy principles. For more information about the Safe Harbor framework or our registration, see the Department of Commerce's website.
Further information about Google Web Toolkit is available here.
