issue 307 (Support for Multi-media keys) reported   -   Server: Ubuntu Client: Mac I have multimedia keys (play, pause, volue, etc) on my Ubuntu keyboard. I'd like these to work on the Mac via Synergy+. I currently work around it by using non-media key bindings on the mac in addition to the media ones. Ciao!

issue 30467 (Add option: external application urls open in new window.) reported   -   Chrome Version : 4.0.249.21 (Official Build 33275) OS: all What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Set chrome as the default browser. 2. Start chrome and open a few tabs. 3. Go to another application and click on a URL. What is the expected result? I'd like it to open a new window. What happens instead? It opens a tab on the existing window. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Ideally, this would be an option in preferences: "Open external application links in ( ) new tab ( ) new window Also, a command line option (--open-in=tab or --open-in=window) would be nice.

issue 3 (Improve network security by using encryption) commented on   -   I was thinking about the user interface for this and I was thinking that this would be good: * The server generates a public/private key. * When the client connects the first time it pops up a dialog printing the fingerprint for the server's key on both the server and the client. * On the client, the user is asked to confirm the fingerprint. * If accepted, then the key is saved and the user is only bothered if it changes on the server. Of course, for savvy users, they can pre-distribute the key via scp or something. Ciao!

issue 104 (Cursor on Mac OS X goes to center when inactive) commented on   -   Yeah. Moving it to 65px away from bottom left corner would be fine. That should avoid the hot corners and the dock at max size (I think). If you can change it to something small (like a transparent dot) that'd be cool. However, it would have to jump back to being a full cursor the minute someone moves the mouse. Otherwise you remove the ability to use the built-in keyboard/mouse for that machine.

issue 110 (Screen indicator) commented on   -   I have another idea -- A very transparent Synergy+ logo could be shown on the inactive screen(s). You could still see through it but it would be enough to be very very obvious that the cursor isn't on that screen. Ciao!

issue 7 (Can't open .kdb files from file managers) reported   -   I installed SugarSync and used it to pull down a sync'd copy of my keepass database. It wanted to open the file directly, but under the list of apps that accept filenames KeePassDroid wasn't there. I suspect there is an action you register for this.

issue 51 (Request: mini-distro) reported   -   This sort of requires bug 50 to be complete... It would be very cool to have a mini distro that includes a majority of common compilers. It could be targeted at x86-32bit with the idea that it could be run under a virtual machine (xen, kvm, virtualbox, etc.) as a super fast turn-key solution. Pop in the CD-distro, answer a question about the subnet, etc. Then off you go! Easy way to make use of old hardware sitting around. Or you just fire up a VM to run the distcc appliance. Either way, it makes the users life much easier. Ciao!

issue 50 (Add os/arch/compiler/compiler-version support.) reported   -   Ideally, distcc would know about the os, arch, compiler and the compiler-version needed to do the compilation job. This would prevent ABI problems between versions of GCC, allow you to use all CPU power on the network (regardless of arch or os), and make cross-compiling much easier. In my case, I have a project that must be compiled on: win32, win64, sparc, x86-32bit, and x86-64bit. To make ideal use of these 5 boxes, I would put distcc on all 5 boxes with all 5 compilers. Ciao!

issue 76 (When composing new message, cannot choose recipient: 0.15) commented on   -   While comment 10 may work (I have Spanning Sync as well) it isn't acceptable. I have much more information in my Address Book than GMail supports. Reducing my contacts to only what GMail supports would be horrible for me. Can we implement a work around? And can we submit this issue to Google for fix in GMail? They might be able to help some with fixing it in Email/K9. Ciao!

issue 391 ("To:" field keeps emptying out!) reported   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Tap "Compose" to compose a new email. 2. Tap the "To" text box. 3. Type the first few letters of a contact. 4. Select the contact from the drop-down list. 5. Notice that the email address is there and properly formatted: "First Last" <user@example.com> 6. Move the focus to another part of the screen (e.g. Tap on the body) 7. Watch the To field become just "," What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The To field should not be erased like this. What version of K-9 are you using? v108 from the Market. This has been a problem for a while. Is your email account a POP account or an IMAP account? IMAP Does this problem also occur on the built in 'Email' client? Can't use the built in "Email" client because I can't use CACERT certs. Workaround: Hand copy the email address by typing the whole address out instead of selecting from the drop-down. Very very annoying. Notes: I thought this might be related to issue 328 because my "from" name is Christian Höltje (umlaut over the o in Holtje). Also possibly related: Issue 261.

issue 101 (needsSigning()) commented on   -   So it looks like my problem was due to my apache configuration. When I commented out my ErrorDocument handlers, I got 404 errors; my rewrite rules were messed up somehow. I'm still not entirely sure how they got messed up, but once I fixed them then everything started working correctly, which was very nice. If you have ErrorDocument handlers, try commenting them out and seeing what happens with your pretty permalinks. Ciao!

issue 101 (needsSigning()) commented on   -   diazluis: Sorry. I was talking in general at the end, for Will's benefit, not to you. I didn't make that clear and I should have. That sounds like a different configuration problem, not the problem mentioned in this bug. This problem is pretty specific; openid is trying to respond, but it looses some info and can't. The symptoms are the "needsSigning()" message or (for trunk) the message about "invalid mode". I'd try the general support or open a new bug. Ciao!

issue 101 (needsSigning()) commented on   -   diazluis: What http code is "forbidden"? Is it being handled by apache or by wordpress. I think one of the real problems is that something can go wrong deep in this transaction and it's very hard to troubleshoot. Maybe if it logged these to the database, storing only the last 50 or so? Ciao!

issue 101 (needsSigning()) commented on   -   Will Norris et al: I figured out what's going on. It only took a many hours. ^_^ BTW: Will, I recommend using wireshark to get the HTTP request to replay the RP request over and over to debug this stuff. The RP (Relaying Party) is making a request of the OP (OpenID Provider) to the URL http://example.com/openid/server and is sending some POST data. However, apache sees that there is no /path/to/wordpress/openid/server and triggers the rewrite rule for Wordpress' index.php. Wordpress then looks up the URL and says, "Hey, I don't have it." and sets the page up to be a 404. I don't understand what Wordpress is doing, but it makes $_SERVER look *wrong* for Auth/OpenID.php's getQuery (the HACK FIXME part). getQuery() returns: Array ( [error] => 404 ) Example $_SERVER: SERVER: Array ( [REDIRECT_SCRIPT_URL] => /openid/server [REDIRECT_SCRIPT_URI] => http://docwhat.gerf.org/openid/server [REDIRECT_REQUEST_METHOD] => POST [REDIRECT_STATUS] => 404 [SCRIPT_URL] => /openid/server [SCRIPT_URI] => http://docwhat.gerf.org/openid/server .... I think the problem is that the plugin is hooking into the "determine where the page is" stack at the wrong place. The newer wordpresses have been making this worse as they improve the redirection stack. THE WORKAROUND: cd to the top of your wordpress installation and do this: mkdir -p openid/server That works because the 404 handler isn't invoked by wordpress and therefore the POST data isn't lost. Ciao!

issue 39 (Understudy seems to kill my display.) commented on   -   I just downloaded 0.6.1 and I'm didn't see the same problem. I think it may have helped that I quit almost everything first. I wonder if it is due to the IO system being busy (things beach-balling) and because you don't have a cursor and no way out, it's blocks everything? Dunno...just an idea. Weirdly, when I just finished watching a whole movie via netflix and then I pressed the 'menu' key to get out of Front Row, the fans on my laptop started getting really loud. They went away after about 2 minutes, but I think Front Row was really busy shutting down. Ciao!

issue 1853 (Answer call and go to "hold" feature) reported   -   It would be nice if I could have the phone answer and go straight to hold. This would be useful for movie theaters, etc. when I need to answer a call but don't want to make additional noise. Usage: * Tom calls Sally. * Sally's phone rings, screen displays a "delay" button. * Sally presses "delay". * Tom hears a message like "Please wait; your call will be answered in a moment." * Sally leaves the theater, meeting, whatever. * Sally presses the "un-hold" button and talks to Tom. I had this on a previous phone and thought it very useful. Ciao!

issue 1851 (Add "report app" button to Market.) reported   -   The Market needs a "report app" button to report: * Really badly written software. * Malware, viruses, etc. I realize this requires some extra infrastructure in the background but I think it's important. Take the issue with MemoryUp: http://i.gizmodo.com/5138822/rogue-android-app-allegedly-destroying-g1-memory-installing-adware I haven't bothered trying to figure out if it's really malware or not, but the fact that you can't easily report it as such makes users feel un-empowered. I think ideally, if there are reports the following would happen: * The developer would be notified. * The Market would show that it had been reported. * If enough reports are made, then a human would take a look and either: - mark this version as not-malware. - delete the app and take appropriate action. Ciao!

issue 1594 (Tired of cusing in Market user comments) commented on   -   re: swearing vs. free speech Remember: Market is a service with it's own Terms of Service. It is not abridging freedom of speech if they disallow swearing or obscenity. However, I think a better solution would be to have a filter on the application that defaults to on. The reason is that I think that adult applications are worth having in the market place. It would be hard to comment on an adult application if the comments were sanitized. Ciao!

issue 1850 (Please add screen/key lock function.) reported   -   On the G1 the 'menu' key acts as the screen/key lock; you have to press 'menu' or else the phone displays the time, status, and "Press Menu to unlock or place emergency call". This isn't sufficient to protect the phone in my pocket. I have found it dialing "emergency calls' on a couple occasions. In addition, if I disable the security-lock then it'll actually run applications! I think it would be better to (optionally, depending on hardware) to have something like the iPhone/iTouch screen swipe to unlock the screen/key. If the user has the security-lock turned on then the security-pattern and "emergency call" button would be next. For hardware that uses a stylus or that has a very protected 'on' button then I think using that for unlock would be an acceptable alternative. Ciao!

In addition, this page causes it as well: http://pandasthumb.org/archives/2009/01/how-the-texas-b.html What is the expected output? What do you see instead? At first, the page displays correctly, but as AJAX/JS components load the page suddenly goes blank or shows a portion of the page as loaded via AJAX. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Firebug1.4X.0a11 in Firefox 3.1b2 on Mac OS X
